A model focused on the continuous expansion of skills that can be used on the market, aimed at creating value throughout the breadth of the various production chains and driven by an approach that is as synergistic, diversified and multisectoral as possible. The Group’s entrepreneurial path in the world of services began in the 1960s in the transport sector, which still continues to play a strategic role in the overall policies of the Holding Company. The development of the sector is the result of a strategy aimed at guaranteeing the highest performance in terms of connectivity between the various business areas, both inside and outside the group. Even the sector related to waste management, which has been present since the beginning of the Group’s business activities, today represents one of the most important business areas.
Over the years, thanks in particular to the activity of Paoletti Ecologia, Gesenu SpA, the Group has pursued a constant development of the sector connected to the management of municipal cleaning and waste collection services and the integrated waste cycle which led in 2021 to the creation of the sector-specialised Subholding Company Paoletti Ambiente, which brings together all the companies related to the sector in order to share and systematise the individual experiences gained over the years by standardising missions and management models. In 2020, with the birth of Gesenu Energia, the Group extended its activities in the field of energy sales to the free market, marking the epochal transition from Monoutility to Multiutility, in particular for Gesenu Starting from the know-how gained in these sectors and thanks to a great entrepreneurial foresight and an innate drive towards connectivity, the Group has also embarked on new paths and developed basic synergies, expanding its range of action to similar sectors, as in the case of fuel distribution, waste storage, and I&T activities applied to fleets.
